Hold your testicles one at a time. At the top of your scrotum, you will feel your spermatic cord. On the back of your scrotum at the top, you should feel the epididymis, a tube that carries sperm. This is a normal lump and may feel tender to the touch.

Now that you are familiar with the spermatic cord and the epididymis, roll each testicle between your finger and thumb. Carefully check for any changes or lumps. It is normal to have different sized testicles but they shouldn’t be very different in size.
