Why is maintenance important?

The aim of regular maintenance of windows and doors is to ensure the functionality, safety and service life of these elements. The aim is to avoid high follow-up costs and optimize the energy efficiency of the elements. 

In addition, building operators are required by law to ensure traffic safety at all times. What impact does this have on your property? You can read more about this in our > Whitepaper.

Building operators are also obliged to maintain fire doors and gates annually.

Why do we carry out an inspection first?

Every building is unique. We therefore carry out a thorough inspection before concluding a maintenance contract in order to document and assess the current condition of all opening elements.  

A thorough inspection is used to identify damage and signs of wear. This includes, for example, checking seals, fittings, glazing and frames. In this way, we ensure that we always meet your building requirements. 

If you wish, we can digitally record all opening elements in one go. This not only saves time and money, but also creates maximum transparency.

How does maintenance work and how often is it carried out?

The maintenance of your property may vary depending on the type and condition of the elements.

As a rule, maintenance includes a visual and functional check and the identification of defects. Our service technicians arrive punctually on the agreed date and carry out the maintenance professionally - as usual with the highest Schüco quality standards. Optional services, such as gasket maintenance for the frame and sash and adjustment of the units, can also be booked.

At the end of the audit, you will receive full documentation of the work completed and any deviations identified using checklists.

Maintenance includes a small parts flat rate to carry out minor repairs directly on site. Should major repairs be necessary, these are not covered by the maintenance appointment. The repair of any defects or damage found is not included in the maintenance and inspection order, but must be ordered and paid for separately by the contractual partner. 

We usually carry out maintenance on all agreed opening elements annually to offer you maximum security.

Why is the digital recording of your opening elements recommended?

By digitally recording your elements, each element of your building can be clearly identified, located and linked to all relevant product information and documents. Each recorded element is thus given a digital identity.

Who carries out the maintenance and repair work?

Both maintenance and the associated repairs are carried out by our qualified Schüco service technicians. Regular maintenance helps to maintain the service life and performance of the units and therefore also your building, and even to increase it through retrofitting and upgrade options.

We are your experts for the maintenance of windows, doors, sliding systems, sun shading and fire protection systems. We are aware that your building often contains more than just Schüco windows and doors. That's why we not only service Schüco units, but also other commercially available products.

What requirements must be met to conclude a maintenance contract?

The maintenance offer is initially addressed exclusively to building operators - not to private customers.
